Sustainable Case Studies

All of our contracts with the University of Virginia – College at Wise have LEED Silver goals and we continue to find great success in accomplishing those goals.

LEED certification starts in the design phase with the architect’s leadership of the design team. When we are involved in pre-construction services, designers find our input in the critical design development stage to be invaluable.  One very valuable lesson learned that we have implemented to the success of the environmental conservation is that our project coordinator is a critical participant in the LEED process.  This is due to the fact that this position serves as the final gatekeeper in material submittals and documentation on our projects.  One duty of the project coordinator on this project will be to upload all pertinent LEED data to the USGBC website templates as the project moves forward.
