Safety
At Rentenbach, “Employee Safety” is an integral part of our daily operating procedure. We consistently maintain an EMR (Experience Modification Ratio) well below the national average of 1.00. This “experience modifier” is not only a reflection of Rentenbach’s attention to safe work practices, but also a reflection on our competitiveness. Our EMR ranks among the best in the industry, and at roughly one-half the industry average, provides cost efficiency for our customers in the form of greatly reduced insurance costs. Our EMR is “proof positive” of the priority we place on the well being of our personnel, while providing our customers with the most for their construction dollar. When combined with other credits we receive from our property and casualty insurer, we can offer our customers a savings of approximately 70% off what the average general contractor pays for insurance.
Rentenbach is active in the Drug Free Workplace Programs in Tennessee, North Carolina and Texas.
On multiple occasions, Rentenbach has been awarded first place in the Construction Safety Excellence Awards sponsored by the Associated General Contractors.
All Rentenbach field supervisory personnel are required to maintain 30 Hour OSHA safety certifications. We enhance this program with annual training sessions in first aid, cardio pulmonary resuscitation, blood-borne pathogens, ladder safety, lockout/tag out, and forklift training for operators.
The safety department at Rentenbach is led by the Corporate Safety Director who reports directly to the President and CEO. The safety director performs regular safety audits on every Rentenbach project site with complete documentation. Copies of this report are distributed to all top and mid-level management. At Rentenbach, the foundation of our safety program is that the “safe way is always the best way. All accidents are preventable”.
