Rentenbach has a deep appreciation for the needs of those in our communities. Consequently we are devoted to “making a difference” in the communities in which we build, with emphasis on serving those less fortunate. Our philosophy is to be a good corporate citizen and we encourage our employees to be part of that stewardship. Our employees participate annually in philanthropic activities to better the lives of those we serve as we customize our efforts to fit the community.
, Tennessee, we are very active in the United Way program including a corporate match of employee donations as well as participating in the UW “Executive on Loan” and “Industry Outreach” programs. We also support employee participation as mentors in the TnAchieves Program working with college bound high school students in Knox and contiguous counties to assist these young people in the transition from high school to college. We support the Second Harvest “Backpack” program stocking food supplies for needy children during the school year as well as “Coats for the Cold”.
office supports Chambliss Shelter for Children, Hamilton County Schools through the TVA Partners in Education Program and the Chattanooga Area Food Bank by combining efforts with the East Tennessee Chapter of American Institute of Architects “Canstruction” program. We also participate in the United Way of Chattanooga.
regional office supports the Special Olympics of North Carolina with coaches, volunteers for sporting events, and monetary donations. In 2011, we were presented with the Outstanding Corporation Award by the Special Olympics of North Carolina. We also are continued supporters of the Guilford Education Alliance participating in Teacher Adoption, Principal for a Day, and Education Summit Sponsor. We are involved in local university advisory boards and internship programs. We participate in the annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Walk, JDRF Walk, collection of food for the Greensboro Urban Ministry, Ronald McDonald House meal preparations, and are supporters of local Boy Scout Troops.
